It remains a long-term political challenge to master the pressure exerted on the environment by the rapidly growing global population. In the meantime architects, urban designers and other managers of space must think of the best, most appealing and most durable solutions for minimising the footprint of the existing population. We fundamentally believe that the design of attractive, dense and high quality urban space is a catalyst in changing how much space people think they need in order to have an enjoyable and meaningful life. Strategically based in Brussels with our multicultural and multidisciplinary team, we aspire to an architecture that dares to let go of its autonomy and that creates a meaningful added value for today's society. We constantly question what we do, zoom out and accept – next to space – ‘time' as the main context of a project. We combine vision and creativity with pragmatism and feasibility. Our portfolio covers architecture, urban design and service design assignments, consultancies, a wide array of programmes (housing, schools, offices, public and cultural buildings) and scales (from furniture design to regional development). Both founding partners engage in education and actively participate in the promotion of spatial quality and awareness.
