We seek to harness the collective voices of mentoring's leading women to raise awareness for the 15 million young people who need or want a mentor.1000 Women for Mentoring is supported by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, the lead champion for youth mentoring in the United StatesOur Mission:To leverage the collective influence of our members to expand the world of quality youth mentoring.Our Goals:- Safe Mentoring: Pass Criminal Background Check Legislation- Quality Mentoring: Insist on use of evidence-driven best practices and bridging the gap between mentoring research and mentoring policy making- More Mentoring: Promote greater public and private involvement and investment in mentoring programs
