Entertainment - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
21 BLACK ENTERTAINMENT is a screenwriting and film producing partnership headed up by screenwriters writers S.C. Farrow and Kim Standring Jacobs. Unable to attract interest from local producers or funding bodies, Kim and S.C. decided to go it alone. Six months later, KILLERVISION, their first script under the 21 BLACK ENTERTAINMENT umbrella, had gone from concept to final draft. Storyboarding is currently under way with casting scheduled for early December. Principal photography is slated to begin in March, 2011. Kim Standring Jacobs' first foray into writing was a sitcom pilot in 2005, which placed in a well-known American competition. Told to cut her teeth on a feature, she's been busy chasing her tail ever since! With her writing aimed squarely at the American market, Kim feels liberated to finally be in a position to bring Australian stories to life… and feels as if she has finally found her voice. Paired with such a talented writing partner, Kim is optimistic for the future and believes this is only the beginning… stay tuned! A creative writing and screenwriting graduate from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, S.C. Farrow is a filmmaker, artist, published author, and produced screenwriter. Often told she "writes like a guy", it is her mission to create cool, slick, zeitgeist-savvy screenplays which keep audience's thinking long after the credits have rolled.
