The Pikes Peak Advertising Club, as it was originally named, was conceived on April 26, 1961. In the fall of 1973, the name was changed to the Pikes Peak Advertising Federation. Effective August 1st, 2010 our official name has changed to American Advertising Federation Colorado Springs (AAFCS), our membership includes agencies, advertisers, media, suppliers, educators, retailers and the students who will one day enter the world of advertising.AAF Colorado Springs works, through the efforts of many, to improve the understanding, practice and quality of advertising.Industry hopefuls, industry leaders, and everyone in between have helped to build the Club's reputation for service, innovation and excellence.AAFCS has an intern program to help local college students get a start in the industry and Shadow Day provides them with the opportunity for an up-close-and-personal look at the advertising profession.An annual fundraising event helps a local non-profit organization each year with a part of the proceeds going to a pre-selected group.To join visit https://AAFCOS.COM Through our affiliation with the American Advertising Federation (AAF), AAFCS members become part of a nationwide corps of 50,000 professionals in 210 ad clubs dedicated to the cause of good advertising.At its Washington, DC, Headquarters and Western region Office in San Francisco, AAF works to serve its members by advancing the broad interests of the advertising industry on a national level and, when necessary, on the local level.AAFCS is a part of AAF District 12 which includes Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and El Paso, Texas.Our MissionThose first Colorado Springs advertising pioneers were convinced of a need for the club.
