Abby's Light Memorial Foundation Details
The Abby's Light Memorial Foundation is a tax exempt charity that honors our daughter Abby Schumer. We do this through various programs that are intimate. The founding principle is to make children smile. We started as an unofficial entity and raised a thousand dollars for a program called Abby's AOK. A program that gives gift cards to unsuspecting parents of children who shop at Justice Clothes store. The place our 10 year old daughter liked to shop. In June of 2015 we decided to incorporate in our state of Pennsylvania and became a 501(c)(3) organization in July of 2015. We are currently in the process of expanding our programs to include gifts for hospitalized children within out community. Will will be providing gifts to underprivileged children at Abby's elementary school. We will also be identifying additional ways to help children as the foundation grows. Our foundation programs will adhere to the principle of making children smile that would be favorable in the eyes of our forever 10 year old daughter. We are raising funds through our website and social media as well as fundraisers. We are continuously looking for creative ways to raise funds.
