Founded in 2013, and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2015, Adventure Girlz is a sports-based leadership program for girls. We aim to have an impact on the public mindset of how girls are perceived and treated in society.During each school year, Adventure Girlz provides high-quality educational experiences to middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) girls residing in New York City. We emphasize mentor relationships, traditional and adventure sports, travel opportunities, collaborative projects, college exploration, and interactive journaling about race, gender, relationships and adolescence to reawaken the imagination, critical thinking skills, and self-confidence of girls as they pursue personal, academic, social, and professional goals.
