Fund-raising - Hull, England, United Kingdom
In 2016 Aim Higher was set up by us parents of children with Autism, we are extremely passionate about raising awareness of autism and because the percentage of young people with autism suffer with mental health we thought it is really important to support this. We use a whole family approach and all our services are open to the full family, and never insist on a diagnosis as we understand people are at different parts of the journey. We celebrate difference and want the community to understand and include our young people in society.Aim Higher have many events/activities for the children and young people, and offer support, meetings, training along with attending schools to facilitate presentations to young children to promote inclusion, understanding whilst avoiding bullying. We are self funded and ran by us volunteers which means we organise many fundraising events.
