Amitofo Care Center / Amitofo Care Centre (aka Amitofo Care Center International, USA) is a global international NGO directly linked its goals, activities, and operations around the United Nations first 6 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (namely, No Poverty; Zero Hunger; Good Health; Quality Education; Gender Equality; Clean Water and Sanitation). Its ecosystem designed to ensure each child's rights and needs — both personal and educational — are met. Since 2004, Amitofo Care Center has worked to provide international donor-sponsored, formal K through 12 education opportunities with caring facilities for vulnerable children, as well as to foster gender equality in children from underprivileged backgrounds. One of the key goals is to provide kids with opportunities becoming leaders with futuristic mindset, to build a greener planet, and lowering national medical bill for generations to come. On campus, children are taught with African local formal curriculum, coupled with English and Mandarin language skills — so that children are well prepared for global employment opportunities, and better able to change their destinies while improving the fate of their nations. Diversity in quality education are also supported with exposure to Confucianism and Buddhist principles. Foster wellbeing through martial arts physical education and mindfulness teaching. Mindfulness teaching, also known as contemplation or meditation, had helped hone the ability to focus in the moment, less stressed out, expanding students' capacity to learn and help with their emotions. Amitofo Care Center also shifted to plant-based meat in all International Aid Programs (Emergency & Relief Programs) for all vulnerable children and HIV children under its care. Its LT strategy & values are to join forces toward a more sustainable solution that can positively impact the four growing pressing global issues: human health, climate change, constraints on natural resources, and animal welfare.
