Arctic Ice Project (formerly Ice911 Research) is the most studied ice restoration effort in the world. As a climate restoration nonprofit, we're developing a safe, localized technique to improve ice reflectivity, increase the Earth's planetary albedo, and slow the rate of global warming. A widespread implementation of our technology could buy up to 15 more years while our planet decarbonizes. We begin with Arctic ice, a crucial lever in the fight against climate change. The loss of reflective ice in the Arctic and the planet's temperature rise are linked, and our mission is to protect what remains. Despite COVID disruptions, our mission to restore Arctic sea ice hasn't stopped. While it's been difficult, our fieldwork, climate modeling, and ecotoxicological testing are safely continuing. For grant and sponsorship opportunities, please contact our Executive Director Tom Light: info@ArcticIceProject.org. Thank you.
