Food Production - Logroño, La Rioja, Spain
Arizcuren Vinos was created in 2013 by Javier Arizcuren. History Javier Arizcuren comes from family of vinegrowers from Quel, a small village in Rioja Baja. After having studied viticulture and oenology at La Rioja University and travelling around national and international wine areas, in 2009 he decides to start producing his own wine in the basement of his family house. In 2011 he took over the family business. A year later, in 2012, his small production from selected plots of a 16 hectares state, obtained the "qualified" designation by the DOC Rioja.VineyardsOur vineyards in the Yerga Mountain Range come from the family viticulture heritage, only those plots with greatest viticulture potential are included in the Arizcuren project. They are high altitude plots between 30 and 120 years old, mainly conducted in the Gobelet system with optimum soil, altitude and orientation characteristics for vine cultivation.Wine CellarArizcuren wines are elaborated in a central, discrete Logroño street, recovering an activity for the city that was its own until a few decades ago.Wines- Solomazuelo (100% Mazuelo, also known as Carignan)- Sologarnacha (100% Grenache)Visit us: http://www.arizcurenvinos.com/
