The Arizona Broadcasters Association is a non-profit corporation that acts as the official trade association for Arizona's over-the-air radio and TV stations. ABA membership includes more than 200 radio stations, television stations and associate member.The ABA funds Arizona's only broadcast lobbyist at the state legislature, offers station protection programs to guard against government inspections and fines, provides free personalized and on-demand training, and promotes the voice of Arizona broadcasters in Washington to better influence national regulation. The ABA also financially supports the defense of independent journalism as a majority donor to Arizona's First Amendment Coalition. Building the next generation of broadcasters is another ABA priority. The organization partners with universities and trade schools to build staff pipelines and more effective recruiting programs in addition to awarding some scholarships. The ABA also prioritizes product education around the fast-changing tech evolution, ensuring member stations know what's coming next and feel armed with the training necessary to drive business forward.
