Founded in March 2011, our mission is to be the premier professional organization dedicated to enabling its members, corporate partners and the professional Pan-Asian community to leverage the leadership and global business potential of Pan-Asian professionals worldwide. ASCEND arrives at Drexel:In the spring of 2011, with a strong support of Dr. Hsihui Chang-Head of Accounting Department and our faculty advisor-Professor. Helen Choy, Ascend Student Chapter is officially established at Drexel University. Linh Duong - a junior student at the LeBow College of Business—serves as the Founder and the President of this chapter.Ascend Drexel Student Chapter aims to cultivate the leadership development and professional growth of members through training workshops, ongoing resume and interview critiques, company visits, and networking events. We also provide professional and mentoring opportunities aim to strengthen the influence and leadership of Asian and Pacific Islanders in business professions, especially in the finance and accounting fields. These are our chapter's organization objectives:• To encourage a continuous presence of Asian and Pacific Islanders in the accounting and finance professions and other related business majors• To strengthen the influence and leadership of Asian and Pacific Islanders in the profession• To cultivate the leadership development and professional growth of members• To provide additional educational opportunities for members• To provide professional and mentoring opportunities for members• Overall encourage diversity and strong leadership.The Ascend Drexel Student Chapter is open to all students at Drexel University, regardless of race and ethnicity.
