Metals/Mining - N/A, N/A, N/A
Aerospace industry uses advanced alloys to manufacture the new generation of aircraft most critical parts. Titanium alloy is widely used in aero-engines to power both families of Commercial and Business Aircraft. During manufacturing operations up to 90% of the component feed-material is converted into residues, mostly under the form of chips from numerically controlled machining operation.ATIQC mission is to convert these residues and post-used components into high valuable powder-metal in order to produce new parts through the Additive Manufacturing Technology. Even the problematic fine chips can be recycled and transformed into powder. 3D printing can be used to generate near net shape component, ready to be finalized by removing few percent of its final volume. ATIQC aims at contributing to the efforts for the environment protection through the reduction of CO2 emission by up to 200 times compared to the currently used approach. Our technology proves that recycling is profitable, to produce powder-metal up to one-third of the current market pricing.
