The approach adopted by TISS-SVE is called the Work Integrated Training Programme (WITP). This Vocational Educational Programme is being implemented for the first time in India with a focus on job-specific skills rather than providing only a broad based education. Work Integrated Training Programme (WITP) is where students learn the skill by engaging in on-the-job training at real shop floor of the industry/company. TISS has started its journey in 1936 . In 1964 TISS was recognised as University by UGC. TISS is a GOVT of India Institution . With a legacy of over 80 years producing many scholars TISS has earned Institute of repute honour from United Nations and many Govt and Ministries of India and Abroad.In December 2011,Attitude Academy represents the first face of the Training Institute in Eastern India.
