AUS Engineering Honor Society Details
The EHS is the only Engineering honor society at AUS. To be part of the society you must be invited by a chapter and be a junior (top 1/8) or senior (top 1/5) in your engineering class. Now the EHS is eligible to become an official Tau Beta Pi chapter. The EHS board is working on the process of completing the documentation required to join the chapter. Tau Beta Pi is the oldest engineering honor society in the world, and more so the only society representing the entire engineering profession. Once the AUS Chapter joins Tau Beta Pi, we will be the first Tau Beta Pi chapter outside of the U.S.A. and all our current and previous society members will become official Tau Bets.Being a member of Tau Beta Pi is life-long honor that is recognized internationally by your peers as being a distinguished scholar with exemplary character.As the only academic honor society that confers recognition on eligible individuals from all engineering disciplines, Tau Beta Pi:Recognizes those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Maters by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering;Provides leadership and professional development training for engineering students and alumni members;Promotes lifelong alumnus member involvement.
