Avakaasha Foundation is an NGO working towards improving quality of education in rural areas. It was officially registered on 1st Jan 2015, worked with more than Six Government schools so far. We build and provide resources to Government schools in remote places. Our goal is to enhance the overall knowledge of children from rural areas through experiential learning and to develop their communication skills. We also support sports and cultural activities in schools associated with us. We believe in the all-round growth of children. Government provides teachers based on the number of admissions to the school. In the last few years, an increase in the number of private English schools in rural areas has made parents shift to these schools. Due to this reason, the admissions have decreased in Government schools that have resulted in reduced number of teachers appointed to the schools. These teachers juggle teaching along with administrative activities and this has affected the quality of teaching as well. Not just this but parents who cannot afford to send their children to private schools struggle financially with the new fee load of private schools or discontinue the education of their children. This is where Avakaasha Foundation comes in. We help the children of rural areas to get the best opportunity in terms of overall development. The Foundation recruits talented women teachers from the local community. Our teachers focus on experiential learning and share the additional burden of existing staff. We provide the teachers to the schools as long as School shows improvement in knowledge level as well as in admissions. Apart from this we help to build basic infrastructure like Toilets for girls, Library, Computer lab etc. We also sponsor training, cultural and sports events. The donations made to the trust are deductible under section 80G(2)(a)(iv) r.w.s 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act 1961 in the hands of the donors subject to the limits prescribed therein..
