We are a social and environmental enterprise offering holistic sustainability education programs, and tackling waste from all angles. Our objective is to create aware and connected communities through tailored and hands-on education programs. We also focus on recycling plastic waste using small-scale machinery and growing organic alternatives, to disposable items. Awareaway exists to create awareness and positive behaviour change towards creating more sustainable habits and relationships with our ecosystems and the resources we benefit from. Our core goals are to instil the sustainability mindset; to live within the limits of our ecosystems, to be regenerative in our actions, to reconnect with nature and each other and to provide support to marginalised community members through meaningful training and employment opportunities. MISSION Tackle Australia's waste crisis. We want to change the way people think of rubbish by transforming the disposable into the precious. Education. We want to inspire positive change by creating space for discussion on how to combat our single use culture and misuse of precious resources. Reach out. We aim to offer employment and collaboration opportunities to members of marginalised communities – especially refugees. Art for Change. We support a range of socially progressive creative projects with a range of environmental outcomes.
