Awemama is a monthly subscription box for baby carriers. We match our customers with baby carriers based on their preferences and allow them to try the carrier for the month. They can then buy or send back and try some more. We're a company built by moms for others raising children. Awemama is the simplification of babywearing -- helping parents find the right fit, the right carrier and doing it conveniently at home. While babywearing has been around for centuries in other cultures, North American culture had really given it in past years. Research is now supporting babywearing -- keeping your baby close has many benefits; it helps regulate the child's temperature, respiration and heart rate. It can help mothers with post partum depression and anxiety. It gives back hands to a caregiver to accomplish daily activities or even run errands. Though babywearing itself carries all these benefits, finding the right carrier can be difficult, expensive or maybe you want several patterns. Carriers have many purposes; each often very different.
