The Balzani family has produced Moka pots for major companies of the sector for three generations. Ottavio, founder of the business, hand polished Moka pots on behalf of third parties in the 40s. Roberto, heir to the business, established new working relationships with these companies to manufacture the coffee pots in his wokshops. Moreno, the youngest of Roberto's children founded a new design and development department, taking on its management. Moreno started to develop a new Moka concept. Special in its materials, both the aluminium alloy and its accessories, but above all unique in the fact that it would have made a special coffee. When Moreno presented his project to one of the most important brands of Italian coffee, his design skills encountered such favour that he was assigned a project to develop. That is how the Moka Chef came about. One of a kind. The main priority for the Balzani Group project is quality: true quality that is actually applied and not just stated. Raw materials processed with industrial methods and craftmanlike care, followed by scrupulous quality controls, enable the company to provide the market with top quality products. It is with this philosophy that the Balzani Group wishes to support the concept of quality; designing and producing objects that represent the intellectual, physical and economic effort involved. An important choi- ce that gives concrete results. The Balzani Group uses this "original" idea to guarantee the quality of its products made, down to the very last detail in house, in Italy. The Balzani Group uses design to create ideas and render them industrially feasible, satisfying various needs: historical, cultural, sensorial and ethical; inspired by the end user. Tests carried out directly on materials and processes during the work phase are of fundamental importance. Projects give priority to quality and use design as a means of processing and transforming materials.
