During the pandemic, we wanted to do something to give back to the community so Barterrup was formed as a social initiative, born of a desire to create a social and environmental impact that reaps a widespread sharing movement. Our vision is to boost shared consumption and facilitate a sharing community. At Barterrup, you can barter goods or services with each other, giveaway items for free to those who want or need them, donate to the community based organisations and ask the Barterrup community for things that you need.Our collective efforts towards sharing as a new paradigm to life will result in building a one true collective society. We believe it is a prime step towards rediscovering human connections. Through our platform, you can contribute to the common interests of the community, strengthen social connectedness, help to declutter, focus on things one has but doesn't need vs. things one doesn't have but needs and adopt a sustainable lifestyle. Decrease in the amount of waste, usage of natural resources, landfill space and energy are the positive ripple effects that are desired to be created by Barterrup. We want each one of you to engage in this, spread it to your social and professional network(s), so we all can create an impact for sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.We treat Barterrup as our approach to sustainable development by delivering economic, social and environmental benefits.
