Founded in 1992, Beijing Human and Animal Environmental Education Center (BHAEEC) is one of the earliest and most significant non-profit animal protection organizations, devoted to promoting the animal rescue, protection education and legislation in China. Since 1992, the founder of BHAEEC (the Center), Mme Zhang Lvping has dedicated to the cause of rescue abandoned animals by using various resources that she accumulated from her early business. Beijing Human and Animal Environmental Education Center (the Center) was officially established in 1997, as the only private non-profit organization of animal rescue and protection that approved by the government.As more than ten years passed by, the rescue scale of the Center has been extending with the accumulation of the experience. In 2001, with the help of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), Mme Zhang devoted all her assets, although under great debt pressure, to establish the animal rescue and protection base with a certain scale in Xiaotangshan County, Changping District, Beijing,China. Today the Center is well-operated with the assistance of the public, the government, the international animal protection organizations and the hard work of our founder as well as the whole staff. We have made great contribution to the public education and promotion of legislation for animal rescue and protection in China.
