Research - Brighton, England, United Kingdom
We are a team of students from across the UK investigating the root causes and potential solutions for Brighton's benzodiazepine problem for people aged 18-23. Our main objective? To understand and evaluate the lived experiences and motivations for non-medical use of benzodiazepines in Brighton's young adult population through inductive and thematic analyses of semi-structured interviews. This is a voluntary research project investigating the ways in which different harm reduction strategies (including education and NGO outreach) could reduce BZD consumption, using Brighton as a case study.
