Berrymax, provider of top quality highbush blueberries, is the newest member of the Citromax family which also includes Citromax and Citromax Flavors. It is led by its President, Vivian Glueck, who assumed company leadership in 1997 from her father and company founder, Jacob Glueck. Berrymax maintains agricultural and processing facilities for blueberries in Tucumán, Argentina.The Tucumán climate is especially conducive to producing good-sized, crisp blueberries with a well-balanced sweetness to acid ratio. Premium early varieties of Sapphire, Snowchaser, Primadonna, Emerald, San Joaquin, SweetCrisp and Springhigh berries are grown. In addition, choice crops of intermediate varieties such as Camelia, Palmetto, Jewel, Star, Scintillae, Farthing, SouthernBell, BlueCrisp, Abundance, Alapaha, Vernon and Ochlockonee blueberries are cultivated. The compatibility of early and long growing seasons represents the most all-inclusive growing span in the entire Southern Hemisphere, distinguishing Berrymax as a premier blueberry supplier. Increasingly, worldwide retailers and distributors are turning to Berrymax for its premium selection of highbush blueberries. Orders are available in 125 or 250 grams and in 500 gram clamshells. Berrymax customizes packaging upon request.In addition to fresh crops, Berrymax also provides Individual Quick Frozen (IQF) blueberries which are produced using the company's state of the art OctofrostTM flash freezing equipment. Research indicates no significant difference in the antioxidants found in fresh berries when compared to those found in frozen varieties which have a much longer shelf life and can be shipped throughout the world. Both fresh and frozen blueberries are considered to be "superfruits". Berrymax maintains the largest Organic Certified Blueberry orchard in Argentina, also holding certifications from the Women's Business Enterprise, Kosher, HALAL, ISO and regional and global food safety groups.
