Black Heritage Academy is an extracurricular program that seeks to create a space for Black sixth through eighth-grade students to come together to share our untold American stories both of continued oppression and also of tremendous achievement. By grounding young Black people in our rich history, BHA seeks to empower our participants to reject false yet pervasive notions of Black inferiority, and to provide them with the tools that will help them become powerful organizers of change in the world.
