Civic & Social Organization - Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Blacks for Liberation and Cooperative Community Action (B.L.C.C.A) is a community organization seeking to uplift the Black community by finding and implementing tangible, scalable, and sustainable solutions to the variety of issues that plague the Black community. We believe Black folks should have the autonomy and freedom to self-determine our own lives and futures without the intervention of the colonial white power structure. Our work is grounded in and informed by the struggles of all the freedom fighters, liberators, and revolutionaries to come before us. They have laid the blueprint and paved the way for us to continue the fight for true and complete freedom. Our organization would philosophically identify as Pan-African, Internationalist, Socialist, Black Feminist, Womanist, Anti-Fascist, and Anti-Colonial. We seek to liberate all our sisters and brothers across the diaspora and we uphold the ideal that none of us are free until we all are free. Our "Black Boyz 2 Men" Mentorship program provides mentorship and guidance to the Black Male Youth. We expose them to opportunities that exist in the world beyond their current circumstances and mindset. We equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to become autonomous self-determining individuals. We provide our mentees with practical skills and tools to properly prepare for combating the particular obstacles that they will encounter as Black Men.
