A GREEN NEW DEAL– Radically reduce solvent usage while automating your water extractions. Eliminate emulsions.Bottle Liquid-Liquid Extraction (BLLE) "billie" is now in use in federal, state and commercial laboratories throughout the country. The USEPA has specifically acknowledged BLLE as an extension of the separatory funnel providing clear guidelines to permit this automated, simple and highly economical technique to be utilized for 600 as well as 8000 series methods in the United States. This Method Update Rule (MUR) was signed into law by Scott Pruitt on August 7, 2017. This rule allows the analytical community greater flexibility to modify approved methods to lower the costs of measurements, overcome matrix interferences, or otherwise improve the analysis without EPA review. Laboratories that modify Part 136 methods may be private, public or commercial and may conduct analyses for one or more clients or facilitiesWith the automated BLLE technique you may extract water samples directly in the sample bottles as received from the field improving quality, eliminating emulsions and human error, minimizing solvent use (green technique) while significantly lowering cost. Sample preparation is transformed from a chore to a delight.Laboratories experienced with BLLE have been able to readily gain accreditation with side by side studies.More information may be attained at blle.org
