BlueForce is a student founded start-up building a more sustainable and longer-lasting electric forklift using supercapacitors. Our forklift will be able run one hour but will be able to recharge 5 minutes of operation within 20 seconds, using the fast charging capability of supercapacitors. Our design requires learning and adoption by warehouse workers, but it can not only lower costs for warehouses but is also more sustainable in the long run. In addition, BlueForce is applying a technology that turns plastic waste into activated carbon in supercapacitor manufacturing, to create a solution to plastic waste disposal at the same time.
