Bodegas Vegalfaro is a family run winery that was founded in 1999 by Andrés Valiente and his son Rodolfo. We produce wines from grapes with own Designation of Origin and Pago classification: Los Balagueses, DOP Utiel-Requena, and DOP sparkling Cava.The winery is located inland within the province of Valencia. The estate is sited on the high plain of Utiel and Requena: 70km from the Mediterranean at an altitude of 700m above sea level. Our singular wines are produced in 60 hectares of vineyard surrounded by almond and olive trees, aromatic plants set amidst pine forest using ecological and sustainable techniques. In addition, the vineyards lie close to the archaeological site of Las Pilillas, an historical expanse where the Iberians cultivated vines and produced wines 3000 B.C.
