The Border Union Agricultural Society was established in 1813 and is based at our 46 Acre site, at Springwood Park, Kelso. We have a membership of 1000 and host over 100 events onsite (including 4 of our own); making us a busy venue and Society.The Societies 4 core events are our:* Schools Countryside Day held in May, this event sees every 10-year-old in the Scottish Borders attend an Countryside Education day to learn about Agricultural and the Countryside around them; a fun, interactive learning event for all the Scottish Borders P5 pupils – it is a closed event but a fantastic one* Next, we have our annual Dog Show using the whole site, this is a fantastic Championship Dog Show with over 5000 entries annually. A must attend Event for all Dog lovers. - 16 & 17th June 2018.* In July we host our annual 2 Day Agricultural Show, with thousands of livestock, other competitions (Including the Baking, crafts, floral art, Pets, etc.), hundreds of trade stands and lots (& lots) of quality entertainment this a fantastic day out for all the Family - whether you are from a Rural or Urban background. - 27th & 28th July 2018.* Finally, we hold our annual Border Union Ram sales, Kelso (sponsored by Closamectin), in September this is the largest 1 day all male sheep sale in Europe and something we are extremely proud of; so, if looking for a new Ram to further the flock then 14th September 2018, Kelso is the place to be.....Springwood Park hosts over 100 other events from parties and weddings to festivals, fairs, rallies and much more.For more details please see our website or Facebook page.
