Breaking Bread Community Development is a registered NPO. We currently serve meals to the Homeless Adults and also the children of the Salt River and Observatory Communities in Cape Town. We serve meals from Mondays to Thursdays, and on Fridays we run our Soup Sessions on the Village Green where we have live music, food, and dancing, and get to know the homeless community as well as the rest of Observatory in order to create a better environment. In getting to know each other, we are better able to assist those in need. We also run Holiday Programmes for the children of the area, and serve meals to them when they are needed. We are currently in search of a permanent premises.
