As part of a continued commitment to SME businesses, EY UK is pleased to announce it has acquired Breakthrough Funding Ltd, a UK-based R&D independent tax consultancy which specialises in supporting SMEs. We're welcoming the Breakthrough Funding Ltd team as an extension of EY's Innovation Incentive R&D tax team. Its 20 employees will continue to operate from its head office in Ashford, Kent, under the new name EY-Breakthrough Incentives. This acquisition will help these businesses access the much-needed R&D tax relief they need to grow and reinvest in innovative products and services. SMEs are the lifeblood of the UK economy and during these challenging times, these incentives are more important than ever.
