Our mission is to bring hope to the men and women diagnosed with lung cancer every day and raise funds to support the innovative research necessary for a cure. For more information or tickets, visit our website at https://www.breathofhopeohio.com.\\This year's keynote speaker, Will Reeve, is a multi-platform commentator for ESPN and serves on the Board of Directors for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Having lost his mother from lung cancer, Will is a cancer patient advocate and is involved in Stupid Cancer, the leading organization in young adult cancer advocacy, research, support and education. Special guest, Chris Draft, of the Chris Draft Family Foundation, will return again this year to share his experiences empowering communities and equipping families to make healthier choices. \\The "Breath of Hope" Celebration was initiated by Sandy and Mark Lomeo after Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2014. They were surprised to discover the lack of funding for lung cancer as compared to many other types of cancer. They decided to raise money by having a dinner gala. They formed a steering committee to advance their cause. Their gala fundraising efforts have been combined with the "Blue Beautiful Skies" Fund to directly benefit The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute Department of Thoracic Oncology for awareness, research, new treatments, and hopefully a cure.
