What's Covered Under Workers' Compensation?• Medical treatment.• Monetary payments as a means of support.• Monetary payments for permanent disability resulting from the injury.• Monetary payments for families in case of death resulting from industrial accidents and a burial allowance.• Monetary vouchers for schooling and education when injuries don't allow for return to regular or altered work (for injuries before 1/1/13).What If There's a Dispute?You should contact an attorney. In general, the dispute process may involve:• An administrative hearing at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board to try and resolve the dispute.• Representation by an attorney.• The injured worker or their attorney can communicate with the employer or insurance company to resolve the dispute.• A non-jury trial before an Administrative Law Judge to present information supporting the claim.• An appeal if the judge's ruling doesn't satisfy the injured worker or employer.• If the appeal still doesn't satisfy either party, an appeal to the California Supreme Court.
