We believe that good health starts with good food. brüks bars (pronounced brew-ks) was founded in the kitchen of co-founders, Sean & Brooke Muldoon, while Sean was in graduate school, getting his Masters in Exercise Physiology. As a collegiate athlete and someone who suffered from food intolerances, Sean had spent a decade trying to find the right combination of nutrient dense fuel that tasted as good as it felt to eat. Fast forward to 2012, and Sean and Brooke were standing in the middle of their local Whole Foods market snack bar isle and decided to create a recipe of their own. A couple attempts later and the first batch of Original brüks bars were born. Gluten, dairy, soy, egg-free and completely delicious, Sean brought his "bars" to graduate school for months before a few bites found their way to his classmates and Brooke's colleagues' hands. After that, the rest is history. Sean and Brooke founded brüks bars in 2013, dedicated to baking gluten, dairy, soy, egg-free and/or *vegan snacks that tasted as great as they felt to eat. When Sean got a job offer at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte as a Sports Performance Coach, they knew it was brüks moment to launch. They moved to Charlotte and sold the first bars on August 31, 2013. Today, just 2.5 years later brüks has come a long way. We work with 85+ retail locations across 10 states and the bars come in four flavors which continue to be hand made in Charlotte: Original (peanut butter), Apricot Chocolate & *Apple Pecan and Cherry Espresso.
