UK Registered Charity 1123989. NO PAID STAFF, OFFICES OR CARS WHAT WE DO Our aim is to improve the lives of children in Burma. The Burma Children's Fund supports orphanages and pre-schools in various parts of Burma. We provide education shelter and health care for orphans and poor children. MONEY WE RECEIVE IS SENT TO BURMA TO SUPPORT THE CHILDREN EDUCATION BCF Has funded the building of several new Pre-Schools and Nurseries and we assist with their operational costs. We pay the entry fees and have bought school books for hundreds of the poorest children at a average cost of £10 per child. We fund some 3 month training courses for older children. Girls learn sewing or knitting; boys learn to repair motor cycles. Selected boys and girls attend IT training. All these courses cost £70. MEDICAL Many orphans need ongoing treatment with their ‘prescription drugs'. £50 typically covers the cost of a course of medication for a sick child. We donate to some clinics and medical staff in Burma.
