Burns Development Group was formed in 2009 by Linda Burns, an economic development specialist with almost 30 years experience. Linda, the former Director of Economic Development for the Dallas Regional Chamber, served a 15 county North Texas area the last 9 years. Prior experience includes economic development with the City of Dallas and mixed use economic development planning in downtown New Orleans. BDG's focus is on economic development and site selection support. Economic development experience is in the areas of organization evaluation and development, incentive policy development, target marketing strategies, and branding and marketing strategies. Site selection experience includes partnering with communities, counties, state, consultants, brokers or companies to identify suitable sites offering value-added advantages and incentives to guarantee success. Among the companies assisted with relocating or expansions are Yahoo!, Hyatt Hotel, AdamsMark Hotel, Capital One, AT&T, Comerica, Essilor, Bass Pro Shops, Neiman Marcus, Gulfstream, Garden Ridge, Cigna, Nestle Waters, Dallas Logistics Hub, Wyndham Jade, Mountain Creek Business Park, and MASCO.
