Cantine Lupo was created to restore and utilize a farmhouse purchased by our family in the mid ‘90s.The core of our philosophy is to highlight the rich resources of our home region: Lazio. A territory that once again is being recognized for producing high quality wines. Since our first days, attention to quality and excellence have been the essential features of our initiative: constant research and improvement has lead us into the world of wine, and nature. Our property is located South of Rome. The nearly 26 hectares, or 64 acres, lies in the idyllic countryside that lays between the slopes of the Colli Albani and the Tyrrhenian coast. Cantine Lupo began with a purchase of 10 hectares in the mid 1990s. Slowly our family has added carefully chosen vineyards to bring us to our present dimensions.Our focus on quality guided not only our selection of vineyards, but also the vines themselves. After long and detailed studies, we chose to replant our vineyards with vines that offer us the highest quality fruit.Thanks to our typical Mediterranean climate and all of our work in the cellar and the field, Cantine Lupo's vineyards have begun to yield wines of the highest expression. After a long and slow process we are proud to release our first wine: a merlot named "Primolupo", followed by Terra Marique (vermentino) and Rosa Merlot (rosé).
