Metroz Essences. More than a century of passionate work. Metroz Essences is an Italian flavor house that has been passionate about what it does for more than a hundred years. As a family-owned company, we are proud of our independent entrepreneurial spirit with a low chain of command and streamlined research and processes. Back in 1900, near Messina, the family began producing essential oils using the traditional "sponge" method. Then in the 50's the "Nicola Briguglio Company" was established and began producing extracts for liqueurs, aperitifs and vermouths, specialising in alcohol infusion and extraction techniques. In the 60's the company changed its name to "Raboud Metroz" and over the years shifted its business focus to extracting aromatic ingredients from spices with solvents. In the 70's, the Metroz Essences S.p.A. company was then founded. In the 80's, Metroz Essences built 2700 ft. of new research and development laboratories that worked on applications for food products. And in the 90's, Metroz Essences began producing process flavors with specific applications for meat, chocolate and flavour enhancers. We are a small, international team, because we believe that such habit is the only way to work. Metroz Essences today produces flavors and sell them all over the world.
