Launched in November of 2018, Care Kits was first organized on social media by two sisters and their friends. Overwhelmed with the support from family and friends, Care Kits decided to take things to the next level by registering as a non-profit organization, facilitating campaigns and workshops.Our goal is to promote health and wellness, unite youth in a constructive approach, enhance individual well being, support vulnerable individuals and provide assistance to marginalized communities.As individuals who grew up in a high risk low income environment and benefited from community programming, we wanted to create a give back system that enables our recipients for success. Coming full circle by sharing the same opportunities and knowledge with other individuals in a similar position.Ultimately, we can't eliminate poverty but we can provide support in helping others overcome their hardships; whether that be providing a winter coat, distributing a hygiene kit, or giving a meal to someone in need.
