Caritas Nyeri Details

Caritas Nyeri is the development arm of the Archdiocese of Nyeri (ADN) whose main purpose is to enhance the holistic development of the human person as guided by the Gospel values and the social teachings of the church. The programs' focus on the poor communities in economically and socially marginal parts of the Larger Laikipia and Nyeri districts. While Caritas Nyeri operates in the entire Diocese of Nyeri, most of the programs and activities are spread out in the semi-arid belt sharing similar climatic conditions and similar characteristics being in the leeward side of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare ranges and being without permanent rivers running across this vast region of over 9,500 sq km.Caritas Nyeri is the single most extensive Faith-Based Development partner within the region and it has been involved in community-based development work for over 20 years.
