In 2013 Carrie Wolfe created Carrie Wolfe Productions (CWP), a PR consultancy specializing in event production and the film industry. Fueled by curiosity and driven by a passion to produce events and experiences that bring stories to life, Carrie is committed to creating entertaining, inspiring and unique ways to engage an audience. Through special events, publicity campaigns, talent management, content creation and strategic partnerships, CWP helps brands build engaging experiences from the ground up.Carrie is proud to be the Event Producer of ShowCanada, an annual industry conference hosted by the Movie Theatre Association of Canada. As producer, Carrie directs programming and partnerships; hospitality, event logistics and the conference communication strategy. Other CWP clients include Sharkwater Pictures, Elevation Pictures, Entertainment One, the Whistler Film Festival, Carlton Cards, Landmark Cinemas, NKPR, VVS Films and No Trace Camping.Prior to creating CWP, Carrie spent 15 years in the film industry working her way up to Vice President of Publicity & Promotion at Alliance Films where she spearheaded successful PR campaigns for such films as The Hunger Games, Sex & The City, Inglorious Basterds, and Lord of The Rings among 100's of others. Her role also involved overseeing the company's activity at TIFF including sponsorship, media relations, logistics, hospitality and Alliance's annual corporate party for 800+ people.A strong supporter of the Canadian Film industry, Carrie has been fortunate to work with some of the country's most lauded filmmakers including David Cronenberg, Xavier Dolan, Atom Egoyan and Denis Villeneuve; and has been responsible for PR campaigns for some of Canada's most successful movies including Indian Horse, GOON, Passchendaele, The F Word, Enemy, Maps To The Stars, Captive, The Grand Seduction, Mommy, Remember, Born To Be Blue and It's only the end of the world.A graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, Carrie also holds a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College.When not working, Carrie is often off exploring far reaches of the world; her love of travel and adventure has seen her climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, kayak in Brazil and Costa Rica, white water raft on remote rivers in Bhutan and Patagonia, fly fish in the Arctic and practice yoga in India and Bali.
