The Canadian eLearning Enterprise Alliance - CeLEA – was founded in December, 2002 as an industry-based organization with the primary objective of enabling Canadian companies to increase their share of revenues from the growing global elearning marketplace. Today we remain as the only national organization that is focused on the commercial elearning sector.As the only national organization in Canada focused solely on the commercial elearning sector, CeLEA plays a key role in fostering communication between industry, government, and other stakeholders in the elearning industry in Canada and abroad, with the ultimate goal of identifying and communicating business opportunities, and helping Canadian companies successfully compete for those opportunities.CeLEA supports members, and the industry as a whole, through four priority services: - Marketing and Promotion - CeLEA markets and promotes CeLEA members, and the Canadian eLearning industry, in both domestic and international markets through the Canadian eLearning Directory and through the organization of trade missions and other promotional events. - Business Development - CeLEA identifies and communicates potential elearning business opportunities to its members and, through the Canadian eLearning Directory, enables elearning buyers from around the world to identify potential Canadian suppliers and partners. - Networking/Consortia Building - CeLEA facilitates the formation of business relationships between members and the formation of consortia to pursue selected business opportunities - Advocacy - CeLEA advocates, where appropriate, on behalf of its members for a favourable business development environment in Canada
