"Cellular and Molecular Research Center, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran" HistoryCellular and Molecular Research Center, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, started its informal activity using scientific and technical abilities of specialists and laboratories equipped with cell culture, biochemistry, molecular genetics and immunology in the field of cell culture, embryonic and adult stem cells and their differentiation, and started the production of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies in the form of research projects and graduate dissertations in Ahvaz medical school, and eventually in March 2008 the center entitled: Cellular and Molecular Research Center was approved by the Ministry of Health, treatment and Medical education.Departments of the center:1. Stem Cells and Cell BankHistoryAfter the founding of Cellular and Molecular Research Center, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, the stem cell department had started its work and is active in the following three areas: 1) isolation of mouse embryonic stem cells and isolation of adult stem cells from different sources and species.2) the study of the effect of various factors affecting the process of stem cell differentiation into a variety of target cells and intracellular pathways involved in differentiation3) the use of adult stem cells for transplantation into animals to the treatment and reconstruction of affected mouse models
