The sports surface division of CenStar Coatings was formed to address the need for maintenance of the unitary rubber safety surfaces used in playgrounds. Our founder has over 17 years installing these types of surfaces. Seeing the effects of the sun, wear of use and a lack of maintenance programs, he set out to do something that would help the playground owner extend the life of these surfaces. One very important area of concern was the high surface temperatures that often occur during the summer months creating a hazard to our children on the playground.
