Nonprofit Organization Management - , ,
In early 2014, a group of Canadian-Lebanese visionaries, joined forces and directed their efforts to serving a unique population of immigrants. In its first year, the CNLC witnessed rapid success with the services it offered – so much that the first 12 months, defined the coming ten years. The CNLC, is opening its first outreach center in the Greater Montreal Region, offering an array of services to the community, from providing counselling, translation, interpretation, immigration and youth services to healthcare, employment training and job placement. The CNLC has its eyes on becoming the first Lebanese Canadian organization to receive national recognition for its community service program. The CNLC has committed itself to the revitalization of the Lebanese community to make it stronger, more successful, and united around being proud Canadians from Lebanese origins, serving our community across Canada, away from the political and religious tensions that our motherland is so deeply suffering from. Along with the cooperation of local businesses, professionals, academics, and willpower of the community, we're looking to build a facility that not only provides the CNLC's general services, but a facility that also the public could use to host meetings, recreational and educational activities, as well as a community health clinic that serves the local neighbourhoods. Throughout the 20th Century and continuing today, the Greater Montreal Area has attracted a steady stream of immigrants from the Middle-East who today estimate hundreds of thousands. In 2014, acutely aware of the fact that these immigrants needed assistance in order to adapt to life in Canada, a group of visionary community members founded the Canadian National Lebanese Center. CNLC is committed to "Making a Difference" in the lives of those it serves and is proud to serve the growing multi-ethnic community of Montreal.
