CEO Coach does exactly what the name suggests - we coach CEOs. Our view is that life is lonely at the top and that CEOs can benefit enormously from having external, unbiased feedback and support. We recognise that even though CEOs are subjected to many internal forms of advice and encouragement, it is often difficult to separate internal biases and political agendas from even the most well intentioned employees and board members. One of our focus areas is to prepare the CEO for their annual review and in taking this approach we look around all the corners of the business and the actions, plans and behaviours of the CEO to look at what might be perceived by others as weak spots or areas of potential concern. Many CEOs do not leave their roles by choice. Other forces come into play and the CEO may be too close to their work and their executive team to see the hidden pressures build. Our strengths are our weaknesses and all our coaches have witnessed time and again in various outplacement roles how the CEO did not see the end coming. Our point of difference is that we concentrate on the areas CEOs typically struggle or are less than optimal as well as continue to build strengths and an increased level of awareness as to their effectiveness. Our coaches are all experts in areas like communication, strategy, people management and organisational politics and development. In addition, our coaches also have extensive networks of corporate specialists who can be accessed when and if appropriate.
