China Association of Travel Services (CATS) is a national and industrial public organization established in 1997, and was voluntarily formed by domestic travel services, enterprises and institutions providing services for travel services, and social organizations related to travel services. It is a nation-wide industry association registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China.CATS represents and protects the common interest of Chinese travel service industry, as well as legal rights and interest of its members according to the relevant law of China and the regulations of the association. The principal of the association is to provide consultation for governmental organizations, to serve for the development of enterprises, to optimize resource allocation, to strengthen the industry self-regulation, to innovate social administration, and to fulfill social responsibilities when representing and protecting the common interest of Chinese travel service industry and the legal right and interest of its members. CATS strives to serve its members, the industry and the government, and fully exerts values as bridge and bond. CATS cooperates with relevant government departments, other social organizations and member units for the prosperity and stability of Chinese tourism market, and contributes to the sustainable, rapid and healthy development of the industry.At present the association has nearly 2000 members, all large and medium-sized travel services, comprising over 80% of the gross industrial value of China tourism market. Under the supervision of China National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, CATS organizes researches, trainings, lectures, seminars, interactions, inspections and promotions to promote and carry out the development policies of the domestic tourism industry, and the laws and regulations of the industry of travel services, to actively reflect the needs of the industry, and to review and exchange the working experience of travel services, hence to make essential contributions to the prosperity for whole industry of travel services.CATS makes official announcements and provides information and services to its members through the official website（www.cats.org.cn）and its official Wechat account.
