Amy is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Nutritional Science degree from McGill University. Amy is registered with the College of Dietitians of BC and is an active member of Dietitians of Canada. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)® - a health professional, committed to excellence in diabetes education, who has a sound knowledge base in diabetes care/management and education processes, and who has passed the Canadian Diabetes Educator's Certification Board (CDECB) exam.Amy's practice focuses on Weight Management, Diabetes and Eating disorders; Amy supports her clients in building a positive relationship with food and guides individuals in finding balance, moderation, variety and enjoyment in their nutrition intake.Amy also has considerable experience with Healthy Aging & Dysphagia (Chewing & Swallowing Disorders – modified texture diets), Pre & Postnatal and Pediatric Nutrition; helping support proper nutrition at every stages of life. Amy emphasizes on the importance of best beginnings - health and nutrition starts from the beginning and last a lifetime. Amy believes in using nutrition therapy to enhance the quality of life. *For this population, Amy can provide mobile services at the convenience of your own home upon request.Amy designs customized cycle menus for Residential Care facilities in accordance with the Residential Care Regulations of British Columbia and also provides biannual and as-needed Menu Reviews, and meet with your health inspector or licensing Dietitian for Inspection & Accreditation as an experienced Food Service Manager.Amy has a passion to host Nutrition Workshops. She has had the honor of presenting various nutrition topics at public & private companies such as the Parenting Groups, Dance Studios, RCMP Headquarters, Kwantlen University and Farmer's Markets.
