Roasting coffee is as much art as science. We began roasting a few years ago, roasting and burning through air poppers, but gaining the ear and nose for a perfect roast. After continual tweaks and hacks, we invested in a small home roaster and began roasting coffee for family and friends. They encouraged us to produce our coffee commercially. We use a 1kg fluid bed and computer controlled roaster for consistency and quality. Each roast is carefully tracked and monitored by temperature, with attention to the best flavor development for the particular coffee. We roast on-demand, usually on Mondays and Fridays. Coffee is shipped USPS and arrives on your doorstep at the beginning of its peak flavor. By comparison, your local coffee chain's coffee has an expiration of 6 months from its roasting. Even the costly boutique coffee will typically be weeks to months old. If haven't tasted a micro-roast yet, the proof will be in your cup.
