Colour Them Safe is an arts initiative that seeks to help disadvantaged young people through the development of art programs and partnerships.Our programs bring together disadvantaged young people and their carers, along with local artists, educators and volunteers to encourage personal growth through the process of art making. We use an evidence-based approach to engage at-risk young people in a process of enrichment and development that seeks to improve cultural, social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB).We work in community spaces that are youth-lead, accessible and inclusive. We work in partnership with other youth support services to foster knowledge sharing and build capability across the sector. We have worked in Australia, Indonesia, India, Nepal and New Zealand.
